Fic: Windsor Knot (2/4)
Title: Windsor Knot
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: None
Disclaimer: Jack and Ianto belong to Russell T. Davies and the Mighty Beeb. Just goofin' around! Oh, and the quote is from Linda Ellerbee.
Summary: Prequel to Half-Windsor
Notes: More with ties…there are four basic ways to tie a tie, so I’m thinking this will likely be four parts total.
Twenty minutes earlier…
“You know, I never really understood ties,” Jack said, lounging on the bed. He was watching Ianto get dressed. Not as fun as watching him undress, or better yet, undressing Ianto himself, but still – not a bad form of entertainment.
“The concept baffles you? Or you can’t tie them?” Ianto asked. His eyes met Jack’s in the mirror as he flipped up his collar and slid the tie around his neck.
Jack laughed. “Both actually. Who said, ‘How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a noose around your neck?’”
“I have no idea,” Ianto said disdainfully. He looked in the mirror, concentrating on his tie. He was trying a Windsor knot today. He thought it would look best with his new shirt which had a slightly wider collar than he usually wore. Jack loved watching Ianto concentrate on anything, loved the way he squinted his eyes and sometimes…yes, there it was – the pink tip of Ianto’s tongue was peeking out of the corner of his lips. Jack moaned loudly.
“You alright, Jack?” Ianto asked.
“No. You’re torturing me. Forget the damn tie and come back to bed,” he pleaded, patting the mattress.
“Can’t. You know I need to be in early today.”
“It can’t be that important,” Jack wheedled. “Just another hour? You’ll still be the first one there.”
“That’s not the point,” Ianto huffed. “Besides, it’s not just another hour. It’s another hour plus another shower plus another round of ‘get off me, Jack, I need to leave’. Sorry. You’ll just have to wait until after work.”
Jack sighed. Glaring at Ianto, he reached over to the nightstand and grabbed his wrist strap and com. He punched several buttons on the strap with one hand while he used the other to call Gwen. Ianto, his tie finished, turned to watch his lover with a curious look on his face.
“Gwen? Jack. Sorry to bother you so early. Just wanted to let you know that somehow the decontamination sequence went off this morning….Yeah, that’s right.” Jack’s eyes met Ianto’s. “We won’t be able to get in the hub for at least four hours.” Ianto’s mouth dropped. “Great, let the other’s know, will ya?” Jack chuckled, “Yeah, I can tell Ianto. See you around lunch.” He clicked off his com and put it on the nightstand. After pressing a few more buttons, he did the same with his wrist strap. Without looking at Ianto, he crossed his arms behind his head and lay back on the bed, a satisfied smile on his face.
Ianto just stood there, mouth still open.
“That’s right,” Jack said, still smiling. “Four hours. That’s the hour I wanted, plus an hour for ‘get off me, Jack’ plus an hour for another shower, mmmm that sounds good, and another one to spare.”
Ianto walked to the bed. As soon as he was close enough, Jack grabbed him and pulled him down to the mattress. Rolling his body over Ianto’s, Jack pinned him to the bed and kissed him thoroughly. Giving into the inevitable, and enjoying every single second of it, Ianto kissed him back.
“So,” Ianto gasped when they finally broke apart. “What did you have in mind?”
“Well,” Jack said, his hand drifting over Ianto’s chest and tugging gently on his tie, “I was kind of hoping you would show me how to tie a tie.” He chuckled again and leaned down for another kiss.

Bossy - CLEVER Jack gets the better of Ianto - my jaw dropped along with Ianto's.
I love the idea of "an hour for 'Get off me, Jack'" time.
Brilliant!
Thank you.
