My take on the whole "keep everything secret" thing with Jack is that he's gotten so closed off since the Doctor abandoned him on the Game Station. And then after losing everyone when Alex shot the team, I think he just shut down completely. I know the writers keep trying to make us believe that Gwen is the one bringing out his humanity again (yuk) but in my world it’s Ianto. :D But right now Jack is still hesitant about telling anyone he’s a freak (after the way early-Torchwood treated him and the Doctor left him, you can see why he’d think that). So he disguises everything with his Dashing Hero persona and keeps everything pretty casual. But he’s finding it harder and harder to do that with Ianto. I’m planning a big emotional catharsis for after “Captain Jack Harkness” where a lot of stuff comes out as Jack is explaining what happened. :D
Oh! *steps off soap box* *backs slowly away* Sorry for the essay! *damn English major* *grumble* ;)
