Rambling: Fic Update / Happy New Year / Thanks

Hello All My Lovelies!

Now that we’re all getting settled into 2009, I wanted to take a quick moment (while I actually have internet connectivity) to say

Happy New Year to you one and all!

I hope that this year brings you all joy, peace, comfort, friendship and love. I have been so blessed this last year with new friends I’ve met on LJ and I want to ***hug*** all y'all. I never would have imagined that my little obsession with an obscure British sci-fi show would change my life so much. :)

And a fic update for all you loyal, lovely readers of Vizzini’s Rule – it is finished, clocking in at 105 Chapters and a little over 187,000 words (I know!!). The wonderful thrace_adams finished betaing the last chapter in record time and I hope to post the last three chapters back to back to back starting this Tuesday. Unfortunately, this all hinges on my ability to get online which has been spotty at best lately. Comcast has been out twice to “fix” it and have basically given up until they get more routers in (whatever). Anyhoo, that’s the plan for the fic.

I’d also like to give a quick and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who voted for VR over at The Children of Time Awards. I was stunned to find out that it won TWO runner-ups!! I was speechless and let me tell you, that doesn’t happen often! So thank you for that amazing honor.

I will stop nattering at you now and just say that I wish you all the best!

I can't believe that VR is almost finished! It is one of the very few WIPs I've followed. You've kept me hooked from the very beginning (even through my own internet trials and tribulations), and I will be a little sad to see it go.

Oh thank you!! That's so nice to hear. :D I've learned a lot from doing this WIP so hopefully the next two epics will go more smoothly.

Who knew that such a small Brit sci-fi show would do this to my life either? I've met such wonderful people (not the least of which is you my friend) *big hugs* I've loved beta'ing this story and cannot wait to start working on the sequel :) (I'm deep in the throes of my editing - I'm on page 40ish?)
