Rambling: Heart Walk and Fic Update

Hello my lovelies,

As many of you know, I had a bit of a scare with my grandmother and her heart right before Christmas dinner last year, so I've decided to walk in this year's Start! Heart Walk benefiting the American Heart Association in her honor.

The 2010 Start! Denver Heart & Stroke Walk is an annual fundraising event featuring a 3.2 mile non-competitive walk. The Heart Walk is designed to bring public awareness to physical activity and a heart-healthy lifestyle, while at the same time raising critical dollars to fund the life-saving mission of the American Heart Association. Walkers from all over Denver and beyond step out to support the fight against our nation's No. 1 and No. 3 causes of death -- heart disease and stroke.

I'm posting today to ask for your support. If you are able/want to donate some moolah, it will be much appreciated – all that info is below. What I really need are good wishes and positive thoughts that I don't twist an ankle or pass out from complete out-of-shapedness!! (Bear with me as I paste in the "official" plea for money from the AHA, just in case!)

Unfortunately, too many of us have a loved one affected by heart disease or stroke. I have set a personal goal to raise funds that are needed for critical heart disease and stroke research and education.

The American Heart Association's online fundraising website has a minimum donation amount of $25.00. If you can only donate a smaller amount, it will still be much appreciated!! p.s. FIC UPDATE: My AU fic for teachwriteslash's MUCH belated birthday present is coming along nicely. The "short story" is clocking in at 7,000+ words and I'm not halfway thru the plot yet. The muses are back!! *GRIN* I'm reeeeeeally hoping to start posting in June so keep an eye out!  :o)

If I walked a 5 mile walk for MS and not pass out from out-of-shapedness, you can do 3.2 miles :D :D :D (I just won't tell you how miserable I was for the two days after the walk...)

I unfortunately don't have any money to send at the moment (on account of not having a job, somehow those two are linked... who knows how) but if i get one in the near future and have some to spare i'll definitely send it your way! i've had a couple of family members with heart trouble so i would be delighted to help! but either way you can get all the positive thoughts and good wishes you want, i'll be sending them your way!!!! good luck with everything and i will add your grandma to my good thoughts list!
