If you've never read one of Mr. Francis's novels, you're missing out on a great ride. The NY Times has a lovely obituary here, saying all the things I wish I could about this great man and great author.

He will be missed. 

Rambling: Children of Time Awards – I’m nominated! :)

Hello my lovelies!  **big hugs**  I can’t believe it, but three of my fics got nominated over at Round 5 of the Children of Time Awards!!  Thank you so SO much!!  Y’all just blow me away.  A quick thanks to my super-awesome beta thrace_adams  (because without her, I would never have started posting in the first place) and to my idol, teachwriteslash  (because without her encouragement, I might have given up last summer)!

• My continuing gap-filler saga, The Sea After a Storm was nominated in three spots - Alternate Canon, Angst and Slash.
• My Jack and Jamie oneshot, An Overdeveloped Sense of Vengeance got a nod in the Coda category (thank you to the wonderful criccieth  for the bunny!!).
• And my very first attempt at an AU, It Happened One Christmas, was nominated in Fluff.

Voting starts tomorrow and runs through March 15th. There are a TON of great fics and superb writers on the list - so please go take a look and vote for your favorites.
